Biography
Professor Alison Elliott has extensive research, teaching and policy experience in higher education and specifically in teacher education programs that prepare educators for teaching roles in early childhood contexts and schools. She has expert knowledge of curriculum design, planning, implementation and assessment processes, learning and teaching in the school and higher education context, professional development for teachers, family-school connectedness and engagement, and policy issues in early childhood education. Alison's work has a strong focus on promoting optimum learning and teaching environments for young children and other students in regional contexts- in partnership with their families and communities.
Research Interest
Alison’s recent research and policy work has been mainly in regional and remote communities focusing on strengthening professional learning and practice for teachers and other educators.
