Biography
Deanne Minnecon is of both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island descent, and was born and raised in Cairns but has been working in Brisbane for the past 10 years. Deanne has 20 years experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and education, including community controlled health services, universities, state governments, and more recently the non-government organisation sector. She is currently leading national and state initiatives for Diabetes Australia, Queensland, as Program Leader, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
