Biography
Darrin Usher has over 16 years of environmental consulting, advisory and management experience, with particular expertise in planning, developing, implementing and managing statutory approvals, environmental management systems and plans, and compliance audits/due diligence assessments for small- to mega-scale construction, operational and decommissioning projects. He also has experience with environmental site investigation, environmental impact assessment (EIA), environmental, safety and health impact assessment (ESHIA), site contamination assessment, and remediation and validation strategies. Darrin has served as a trusted environmental compliance manager for major construction projects on behalf of various clients, including BHPBIO, Roy Hill Iron Ore, Woodside and Chevron. He has extensive knowledge in scoping and managing lump sum environmental programs across planning, design, construction, operational and decommissioning project phases. Darrin has led or managed several large-scale mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure projects throughout Australia, during which he developed, implemented and managed the environmental management system (EMS) and environmental management planning (EMP) and completed regular compliance auditing.
