Biography
Pascal Roché has been Générale de Santé Chief Executive Officer, the leading French publicly listed hospital operator, since June 2011. After Ramsay Health Care took interest in the company in October 2014, Mr Roché was appointed in charge of the merger of Générale de Santé with Ramsay Santé France and Chief Executive Officer of the future combined entity from June 2015. Since 2011, he organized the 100+ Générale de Santé facilities in France in regional clusters for an improved healthcare coordination and better service to patients. Mr Roché started his career in the consulting business from 1985 to 1991 and then held various senior executive positions in the insurance sector at Axa France from 1991 to 2002. From 2002 to 2010, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Bank France where he was also global head of three business lines between 2007 and 2011, covering 17 countries. In 2010-2011, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Spain. Mr Roché graduated from HEC business school, and holds a Master in private law and a postgraduate in Economics and Organization strategy. He is also a qualified actuary.
