Biography
Dr Landgren is the National Medical Director and Chief Pathologist at Australian Clinical Labs (formerly Healthscope Pathology). He is also Chairman of the Department of Anatomical Pathology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He trained in Anatomical and Forensic Pathology in Victoria and was admitted to Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 1990. His subspecialty interests include head and neck pathology, hepatobiliary pathology, lung pathology, renal pathology and biotechnology law. He has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Melbourne. His previous roles include a solicitor in private practice and a health service manager with the Sisters of Mercy in Far North Queensland. He is a Director of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia through his role as the Chair of the Board of Education and Assessment with responsibility for the training programs in all pathology disciplines, conduct of examinations, assessment of overseas trained specialists and laboratory accreditation for training for the College. He is a member of the federal Department of Health’s Medical Training Review Panel and the Enhanced Medical Education Advisory Committee. He is a board member of the Victorian Cancer Biobank. He is also a Director of the Board of the National Association of Testing Authorities.
