Biography
Dr Rowell is Director of Haematology at Pathology Queensland and Director of the Queensland Haemophilia Centre, both based at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital Campus. His major interests are in haemophilia and other bleeding disorders, genetics and transfusion. His previous roles include Chairman of the Australian Haemophilia Centre Directors Organisation (AHCDO), member of the Council of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion, Chairman of the RCPA Transfusion Quality Assurance Program and an examiner in Haematology for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, a Board Member of the Haemophilia Foundation Queensland and a member of the Pathology Clinical Committee of the Medicare Benefits Schedule Review Taskforce.
