Biography
Mr. Briggs is a mining engineer with 20 years’ experience in the coal industry and another 15 years in project financing with CBA which included advising on numerous coal and related infrastructure projects and for the last 3 years leading the mining senior debt global team. He has broad operational experience on coal mines in South Africa, USA and Australia. He has worked for AEI Resources Inc (Kentucky), Cyprus Amax Coal Company (Colorado & Australia) and AMCOAL (South Africa). After jointly negotiating and completing the acquisition of the Foxleigh mine he was appointed the Interim CEO of Middlemount South, with management responsibilities for the Foxleigh operation until the end of February 2017.
