David Allen

Biography

Avid is the Director and Founder of the AIMTech Research Centre, one of the most successful research centres in Europe on Information Systems and Information Management. His recent projects have focused on information practices in high velocity environments and understanding the information sharing practices and innovation process related to the development of novel new technologies. Much of his work is undertaken in interdisciplinary teams with whom he has generated over $20 million of research funding. He has published in many A* ranked journal articles, including in the leading Information Systems journal MIS Quarterly and other internationally leading journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems, the Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, and the Information Systems Journal. In addition, his research has featured on the BBC and the Wall Street Journal.
