Biography
Mark Shortis has the dual roles of Professor of Measurement Science in the and Director (Program Quality) in the Academic Development Group of the College of Science, Engineering and Health. In the School he is an active researcher in close-range photogrammetry and is involved in the teaching of photogrammetry and professional studies in the surveying and geospatial science undergraduate programs. He is also the coordinator for accreditation of the surveying degree program. As Director (Program Quality) he has responsibility for efficient and effective coordination and support of quality audits and professional accreditation of SEH programs. Reporting to the DPVC (Learning and Teaching), his priorities are the regular cycle of quality review audits of offshore training partners and programs, and the coordination of Engineers Australia accreditations of all undergraduate engineering programs onshore and offshore.
