Biography
Dr Clothier has a Bachelor engineering degree and PhD in aerospace avionics. Dr Clothier is internationally recognised as an expert in the design, safety, certification, and regulation of complex and autonomous systems, and in particular, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).Dr Clothier’s primary fields of expertise are in system safety analysis, and the development of regulatory frameworks for unmanned aircraft systems; more commonly referred to as “drones”. Dr Clothier has broad and multi-disciplinary expertise in fields ranging from technical engineering design and systems engineering, sensors and artificial intelligence, autonomy, through to aviation psychology.
