Karen Hood

Biography

 Karen joined Sanofi in 1996 and has developed her career through sales, marketing and management roles. With 20 years of experience at Sanofi, she brings deep insights and an astute knowledge of the healthcare system and customer needs to the role of Country Chair.Under her leadership as Pharmaceutical Director, Karen transformed Sanofi’s key account management approach to build a model and team focused on value. This philosophy, celebrated beyond medicines, received industry recognition as the best sales team of the year in 2014.As General Manager, Karen leads two newly established business units; General Medicines, and Diabetes and Cardiovascular Care. She will have responsibility for driving growth of Sanofi’s broad established products portfolio, and building on its 90 years of diabetes leadership. Karen’s experience and business acumen will be instrumental in leading the ANZ business for an exciting journey to innovative product launches and better health outcomes for Australians.
