Biography
Bill is the Professor of Geography at Southern Cross University, the Chair of his University’s Human Research Ethics and Animal Care & Ethics Committees, and the University's Student Ombud.He a geographer, archaeologist and landscape scientist, with research and teaching interests in environmental change, human-landscape interactions, environmental and cultural heritage management, and higher education. He draws on both the geosciences and the humanities to inform his research and teaching. His current focus is on the management of environmental and cultural heritage places and landscapes, and community engagement in environmental management
Research Interest
education researcher, he uses reflective narrative methods to examine pedagogy, curriculum and teaching & learning practice. He has published extensively in all these areas, and has co-authored several books. Bill holds doctorates from the Universities of Glasgow and St Andrews, is a Life Fellow of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge, and a Visiting Professor at the Australian Studies Centre, University of Barcelona.
