Grant Cairncross

Biography

Grant Cairncross, BA (Victoria University of Wellington), Grad Dip Bus Admin (Massey University), M Bus (Southern Cross University) PhD (Southern Cross University). Grant, who revised the study materials, is the coordinator for this unit. He holds a PhD in Employee Relations and Service Quality in Hospitality organisations. Grant has extensive management experience as a Human Resource and Industrial Relations practitioner and has also worked as an Organisational Change consultant having worked in areas as diverse as hospitality, the public sector, general and pipeline construction, small business, and tourism. He has worked throughout Australia and New Zealand with an 18-month assignment in the oil exploration industry in Norway. Grant?s experience

Research Interest

Grant Cairncross Research interest includes the procession of social sciences at the southern cross university at Austarlia  esearch interests include employment strategies and their effects on service quality in the tourism and hospitality industry, the value of a holiday, the effects of changing work patterns on holiday destinations and employee relations.
