Biography
Sayem Hossain is working as a Lecturer, at the School of Business & Tourism (Hotel School of Sydney campus) where he teaches different units under the management discipline (Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategy). Prior to this, Sayem worked at the University of Canberra as Sessional Lecturer for 4 years and taught at both undergraduate and post graduate level. Due to his innovative and contemporary teaching approach, Sayem received 'Dean's award for excellence in teaching and learning' from the University of Canberra. Sayem also served at the UNSW, Canberra (Australian Defence Force Academy) as a Casual Academic and Research Assistant. Besides this, Sayem has significant teaching experience at overseas universities as a guest lecturer (Hong Kong, Singapore). He has worked in several academic and action oriented, cross-sectoral research projects linking with various Institutions. Presently Sayem is finalising his PhD thesis on a topic related to Social Entrepreneurship from the UNSW, Canberra. His other research interest involves - sustainability, service innovation, CSR and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining academia, Sayem served in different MNC's of Australia, Europe and Africa for 6 years.
Research Interest
worked in the position of Service Manager, Account Manager, Relationship Manager and Marketing Consultant. Sayem has won several competitive scholarship and awards due his outstanding academic achievement which include -'Dean's excellence award for outstanding result (University of Canberra), UCPRS scholarship for PhD (UNSW), Merit Scholarship (RU).
