Dr Tracey Frear

Biography

Tracey has 20 years experience in the clinical research industry.  After completing her PhD in Virology at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK, she joined Procter & Gamble in 1992 as a Clinical Research Associate and then Project Manager.  Working across Phase II-IV clinical studies she specialised in the areas of respiratory, dermatology and gastroenterology. Tracey became Clinical Team Leader with responsibility for coordinating clinical research programmes in Europe, India and Australia.  Tracey joined BIOS Consultancy and Contract Research (CRO) as a project manager.  In this role Tracey led a number of European based projects, including medical device studies.  In addition to her clinical role Tracey was also responsible for the development and roll out of a number of management and training processes and procedures to aid in the development of individuals, and optimise productivity. In 1997 Tracey worked as a freelance consultant, providing project management and medical writing services for clients ranging from large pharma to small biotech the areas of oncology, radiopharmaceutics and neurology. In 2003 Tracey relocated from the UK to Sydney, Australia.  She joined Schering Plough and then moved to Trident as a project manager  In 2010 she was promoted to Clinical Team Leader for NSW and QLD, with responsibility for the management and mentoring of a large regional and office based  team of CRAs and project managers.   In 2011 Tracey joined Southern Star Research as Senior Project Leader and then promoted to Clinical Operations Manager.
