Biography
I have a genuine interest in healthcare, a passion for innovation and a drive for success. After practising Orthoptics for a year, I pursued Healthcare Sales and then, Sales management. Four successful years at Bauch & Lomb gave me a strong foundation in territory management, customer service and an insight to management. Seeking new challenges, I joined Stryker working in Capital/Consumable sales across multiple disciplines and learnt the value of understanding customer needs and the power of consultative selling, negotiation and presentation skills. I also discovered the Operating room, Orthopaedics and the meaning of making a difference to others. After ten years of Capital/Consumable sales, I embraced Sales management in Orthopaedics-Reconstruction. This allowed me to focus on Hips and Knees as well as develop my people management skills. I was no longer the product expert and I continue to learn about Arthroplasty, especially now with Robotics. The best thing about what I do now is building strong teams that work effectively together and empowering others to be successful. It’s no wonder Stryker has so many awards such as Great Place to work and Fortune 500. At Stryker, I work with the most talented people across various departments who driven to support customers and to improve patient's lives. As a committee member for Stryker’s Women’s Network, I help attract, retain and develop talent. Being one of the first Stryker Sales Rep to work part time back in 2002, I understand the difference supportive managers make. Being involved in mentoring programs gives me the opportunity to connect with others and to grow personally. Being involved in company projects also connects me with others and together, we drive greater business success through innovation.
