Biography
Lennard Axinn is a Long Island real estate developer and an active participant in charities which address shelter issues for homeless people and those needing affordable housing. Mr. Axinn is a partner in Island Estates, a real estate development firm which engages in a wide range of residential construction from “mid-priced” single family and town home communities, to luxury housing, to affordable housing for seniors and couples. Charitable involvements include being a past President and current Board member of The Interfaith Nutrition Network, which operates 19 soup kitchens, four homeless shelters, and a long-term housing program across Long Island. Mr. Axinn is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Community Development Corporation of Long Island which creates and facilitates the construction and operation of affordable housing, as well as enabling low and middle income individuals to start and succeed at owning their own businesses through financial and advisory assistance.
