Biography
Matt is an Executive Director in our Adelaide office. He has ~15 years of investment banking experience, much of which was in the natural resources sector. Matt has significant experience in public market M&A (including defence), asset sales and capital raisings. Matthew was the 1st employee of Gryphon Partners, a leading boutique advisory firm to the resources sector which undertook >65 transactions valued at >$25 billion in 8 years. He was integral in growing the business until its acquisition by Standard Chartered in 2011. Before joining Taylor Collison in February 2017, Matthew headed Standard Chartered Bank’s Australian Natural Resources, M&A team where he undertook several high profile cross-border transactions in the sector.
