Biography
Dr Catarina Ang is Head of Gynaecology 1 Unit, Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. She graduated from Monash University, and completed her O&G training at Southern Health. She was awarded national scholarships and grants to train in advanced laparoscopic training overseas. She took the post of Clinical Research Fellow at the John Radcliffe Hospital and the University of Oxford. Thereafter, she was awarded an international fellowship in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Dr Ang returned to Australia in 2006 to the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. She completed the Diploma of Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and specialises in advanced endoscopic surgery, robotic-assisted surgery and IVF. She is the Training Director of laparoscopic training at the Women’s and continues to teach medical students and registrars in public and private practice.
