Desiree Joubert

Biography

 After graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2011, Desirée moved to Cape Town where she started working in private practice. Already a qualified Pilates mat instructor, she also gave private and group Pilates classes which enhanced her skill to correct movement patterns and promote rehabilitation through exercise. During this time she completed her training in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy level 1, which broadened her skills in hands-on manual therapy treatment for a variety of conditions. After moving to London in 2015, she worked in a private practice specializing in the pre and post operative management of spinal disorders and treatment of spinal pain in addition to rehabilitation of sports injuries. Further postgraduate qualifications include training in assessing office-based workstations through ACPOHE, dry needling and rehabilitation for dizziness. Her special interests include lower back pain and acute sport injuries. In her spare time she enjoys reading, jogging, netball, skiing and traveling
