Biography
Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and Fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity. He received his Medical Doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Thereafter, he completed his orthopedic residency program at Case Western Reserve University. He is an active member of the American Association of Hand Surgeons. He was on the board of directors for the American Fracture Association and has participated in and chaired multiple instructional courses both in the United States and abroad. He regularly hosts educational events for physicians and students in an effort to expand the understanding of the surgical specialty. Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez has been invited to speak at instructional courses and conferences around the world. He has presided as president of the international organization, “La Federacion de Mano / The Federation of Hand Societies”
