Biography
Brian Ng received a BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science in 1996, B. Eng (Hons) in 1997 and a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 2003, all from the University of Adelaide. His thesis advisor was Professor Abdessalam Bouzerdoum. During his studies, he was awarded the University of Adelaide medal for the top graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He joined the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2002. His research focus is digital signal processing and applications, and has made contributions to fields such as multirate signal processing, bio-inspired engineering, distributed sensor networks, and Terahertz spectroscopy and imaging. He is a member of the Adelaide Radar Research Centre and Centre for High Performance Integrated Technologies and Systems (CHiPTec). Brian is a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and has served as Treasurer and Chair for the IEEE South Australian Section Communications and Signal Processing Chapter.
