Biography
Gill is a Professorial Research Fellow in the School of Nursing at the University of Adelaide and a Professor in Health Management at Manchester Business School (MBS) in the UK. She has a professional background in nursing; previous posts in the UK include working as the Director of the Royal College of Nursing’s Quality Improvement Programme and Director of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) National Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Supportive Care, with a remit to develop clinical guidelines for the National Health Service (NHS). Research Interest
Gill’s research interests are also in the field of quality improvement and knowledge mobilisation. She has published widely on these topics and is involved in a number of projects implementing and evaluating knowledge mobilisation initiatives in subject areas such as end of life care and chronic disease management. A particular interest is in exploring and applying broader organisational and management theories of learning and knowledge management to the study of knowledge translation in health care.
