Biography
Dr Tan is a dentist, senior lecturer and an active researcher in Geriatric Oral Health, population oral health and preventive dentistry. She has been involved in 4 geriatric oral health intervention project, in collaboration with South Australian Dental Service. She is the Chief Investigator A of an Australia NHMRC project titled “Prevention and control of caries in older adults in residential aged care” and also a chief investigator of another NHMRC project. She holds the 2016 International Association for Dental Research John Clarkson Fellowship, the 2015 International Association for Dental Research Unilever Social Entrepreneur Approach to Change Oral Health Behavior Award, ACFF community grant, RM Gibson Scientific Research Fund Grant and Australian Dental Research Foundation Grant. She received an invitation from Cochrane Review Oral Health Group to submit a Cochrane Systemic Review on Root Caries management in 2016.
