Biography
Dr Nam Nguyen is a director (Australia and Southeast Asia) of Malik Institute, Switzerland (one of the world’s leading organizations for holistic general management, leadership and governance solutions). He is also a founder of Think2Impact Pty Ltd in Australia. Nam was a co-founder of the internationally linked Systems Design and Complexity Management (SDCM) Alliance at The University of Adelaide Business School; and currently an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow in the Business School. He has been awarded a number of nationally and internationally competitive academic fellowships and research grants (worth more than $1m). Nam is also a recipient of the prestigious Davos Australian Leadership Award for being at the forefront of his chosen field, systems thinking and complexity management; a former member of the Scientific Board of the Business Systems Laboratory, Italy; a Vice President (2012-13; 2015-17) of the International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS) and a Vice President (2014-16) of the International Federation for Systems Research Dr Nam Nguyen is a director (Australia and Southeast Asia) of Malik Institute, Switzerland (one of the world’s leading organizations for holistic general management, leadership and governance solutions). Research Interest
As a systems scientist Dr Nguyen’s research is interdisciplinary in nature which cuts across a wide range of disciplines and themes including management, leadership, governance, social and behavioural sciences, education, business, sustainable development, and complexity management. He has been the principal supervisor of 2 PhD students and co-supervisor of 3 PhD students in the Business School. Dr Nguyen and his team have established various Evolutionary Learning Laboratories (ELLabs) to address complex problems around the world.
