Research Interest
My research interests involve employing qualitative approaches to the analysis of data. My expertise is in using Conversation Analysis for the examination of real-life, naturally occurring interactions. I am also highly experienced in a range of other qualitative approaches, including discourse analysis and thematic analysis and in conducting focus groups. I am primarily interested in conducting qualitative social research that has the potential to generate worthwhile, practical applications related to health and well-being and the provision of healthcare and advice. In particular, I am interested in research activities that can contribute to improved circumstances for vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the population, and have experience in designing and implementing service evaluations for the community services sector.
