Biography
Richard is the Head of Oral Diagnostic Sciences which includes Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Oral Diagnosis. He is also the Deputy Head of the School of Dentistry. Research Interest
Side effects of oncology treatment, particularly chemotherapy-induced alimentary tract mucositis, focussing on oral mucositis and the role of pro-inflammatory cytokines on mucositis pathobiology. Oral health needs of lower socioeconomic groups including homeless populations and impact on overall quality of life and links with systemic disease.
