Biography
Born in Nelson, New Zealand, I did my BA(Hons) in Economics at the University of Otago in Dunedin and worked for two years as a Policy Analyst at the Dunedin City Council before moving to Canada for graduate school. After my MA in Economics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, I completed my PhD in Economics there in 2006. I spent semester 2 of 2012 as a Visiting Professor at the University of Calgary and semester 2 of 2016 as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Waterloo. Research Interest
My areas of research interest are in natural resource and environmental economics, at present my work is focused on fisheries
