Biography
Have been nursing for the past 29 years, commenced in 1986 at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Have always been passionate about Perioperative Nursing and have worked in a variety of roles within the Suite for 25 years. I completed my Graduate Certificate of Perioperative Nursing in 1991 through the TQEH and worked through all specialities with my primary focus being Trauma and Emergency Theatres. I travelled throughout Australia on a working holiday and had the opportunity to work in a large variety of settings from isolated rural to large metro hospitals. I have always been focused and interested in education and after completeing my Bachelor of Education in 2004 I worked for eight years as a Perioperative Educator after finishing my Bachelor of Education. I commenced working as a Clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide in 2013 working with the Undergraduate Team and am currently the Speciality Course Coordinator for Anaesthetics and Recovery Nursing Stage 1 Masters and Course Cordinator for Communication and Professional Nursing 2 with the Undergraduate Program.
