Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in the Cancer Prevention Research Centre, School of Public Health. My teaching areas include Understanding Health Behaviours (PUBH2004) and Influencing Health Behaviours (PUBH3005). My research areas include broad-reaching behavioural interventions delivered via mobile telephones and maintenance of behaviour change. Since completing my PhD in May 2009 in the feild of Health Psychology, I have been in a Teaching and Research position at the School of Public Health. I have established a national reputation in my research areas of mobile telephone–delivered behavioural interventions and maintenance of behaviour change. My current program of research includes a NHMRC-funded partnership project, and the translation of a health department-funded randomised trial evaluating a mobile telephone extended contact intervention into practice. At this early stage of my research career, I am establishing strong collaborative relationships with colleagues within Australia, New Zealand and internationally to further develop my program of research on mobile telephone-delivered behavioural interventions.
