Biography
Charles determinedly promotes patient safety through the development and implementation of prescribing and administration systems. A long term staff member of both the University of Queensland and the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a respiratory physician, Charles advocates a multidisciplinary approach to education and clinical medication approaches resulting in proficient patient safety systems. His role as the Senior Medical Advisor to the Safte Medication Practice Unit at Queensland Health (2001-2009) saw the emergence of a multidisciplinary team that developed tutorial programs for clincial year medical students at the University of Queensland, Griffith University and James Cook University. This has been extended to development of learning modules for junior doctors.
