Biography
Dennis Poppi is a graduate of the University of Queensland but has worked at Universities and Institutes in NZ, UK, USA, Canada, France, Netherlands and Italy. He is Professor of Animal Nutrition as a joint appointment in the Schools of Agriculture and Food Sciences and School of Veterinary Science. He is a Honorary Centre for Nutrition Modelling Research Fellow at the University of Guelph, Canada. His research work is primarily in beef cattle nutrition and is currently CI on a range of projects in northern Australia funded by MLA and in Indonesia and Myanmar funded by ACIAR with 4 postdocs and a team of PG students. He has 110 peer reviewed journal articles and reviews and over a 100 conference publications.
