Biography

Bobby Harreveld is a Professor in the School of Education & the Arts, Deputy Dean (Research) and Foundation Director of the Learning and Teaching Education Research Centre at Central Queensland University Australia. Bobby was awarded life membership of the Vocational Education and Training Network (Australia) for services to vocational education and workplace transitions nationally and internationally. Nominated by her students, she achieved the Vice-Chancellor’s award for Excellence in Research Supervision (2010). As a researcher and teacher, Dr Harreveld is interested in capability development for learning and earning; the brokering of knowledge production; creating education pathways and workplace transitions. This work is informed by qualitatively framed questions that are explored in areas such as professional and vocational education, open and distance education, post graduate and early career researcher education, internationalization of education, language and literacies across the curriculum.
