Biography
Since 1998 the NRP has secured funding from the Road Safety Council’s Road Trauma Trust Fund, the Department of Health, the Insurance Commission of Western Australia, and donations from private sponsors. Over $15 million has been awarded to Western Australian researchers in competitive grants that are evaluated by external expert scientific review. Significant advances have been made in understanding the mechanisms of nerve damage, and the translation of basic research to clinical trials is now benefiting patients in Western Australia.
