Biography
Leigh has been at CQUniversity since 2007 and has completed her Bachelors Degree in Aquatic Resource Management followed by an honours degree in cyanobacterial research. Leigh has held several positions as a casual researcher in freshwater ecology and in the School of Medical and Applied Science during that time. Leigh has completed her PhD: The importance of macroinvertebrates as biological indicators of stream health in tropical ephemeral systems: ecological patterns, monitoring and management. A substantial career of nearly 20 years in hospitality management and event co-ordination was completed in 2007 in order to pursue a career in Freshwater Ecology. This previous experience has provided Leigh with skills in management including project co-ordination and human resource management.
