Biography
Dr. Luke Heales is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Central Queensland University in Rockhampton, Queensland. He has a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from Auckland University of Technology, a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from The University of Queensland, and is currently completing his Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Education at Central Queensland University. Dr. Heales has 9 published peer-reviewed articles in high-quality journals (e.g. British Journal of Sports Medicine, Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise) and he has received over AUD$250,000 in research funding. His research interests are exploring the use of common conservative therapies on the mechanical properties of muscle and tendon in healthy and diseased individuals.
