Biography
15 years of extensive experience managing international construction projects, alongside lecturing, advising and researching in construction project management and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). I hold a Doctor of Philosophy from Deakin University, Master in Construction Project Management (with distinction) and Bachelor in Civil Engineering. I am certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and as a Professional Civil Engineer by Engineers Australia. I am also an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow Member of Academic Sub-committee of Society of Construction Law Australia. Alongside my academic teaching and research supervision experience that I started at Heriot Watt University back in December 2010, I had worked as a Senior Projects Manager overseeing major international projects for DAMAC Properties between 2010-2014. Before that, I had worked at various technical and managerial positions for leading contractors in the UAE since 2002. I have various refereed publications relating to construction project management and alternative dispute resolution topics with specialty in statutory adjudication. I am one of the winners of the Australian Society of Construction Law Brooking Prize Awards in the last two consecutive years. I am also a co-author of "International Contractual and Statutory Adjudication" book by Routledge where I contributed the four Australian chapters.
