Biography
Dr McIntyre heads the Laser Imaging Group within the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Queensland. The group aims to develop and apply advanced imaging techniques to a variety of fluids ranging from the microscopic level up to hypersonic flows. The group has developed interferometric, fluorescence and non-linear techniques. Dr McIntyre also has an interest in developing computer simulations for use in teaching undergraduate physics. He has created a range of Java Applets for simulating optical devices, electronics and other general physics. Follow the personal URL below for more details.
Research Interest
Laser Imaging (Holographic Interferometry, Laser Induced Fluorescence, Schlieren/Shadowgraph, Spectroscopic Methods, Non-linear Methods). Hypersonic Flow (Super-orbital flow, Scramjets, Facility Development, Non-equlibrium flow, Radiation).
