Biography
Wendy Hillman is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences at CQUniversity Australia in Rockhampton. She researches in the areas of entrepreneurship and empowerment of women in Rural and remote Nepal, gendered travel, backpacking, independent travel, trekking, tours of non-arrival and emotional events that have led to survival escapist travel. Grounded Theory is Wendy's preferred research approach Wendy has recently completed research in Nepal on the gender empowerment of women on an AusAID funded project. She is interested in the Nepali people and Nepali culture as her area of research focus and interest. Wendy has travelled to Nepal for research and university related activities every year since 2010.
