Dr Alessandro Fois is a Movement Disorders Fellow at Westmead Hospital and a Clinical Associate Lecturer and PhD researcher at the University of Sydney. He received his medical degree from Oxford University and has completed his postgraduate training in Cambridge (Addenbrooke’s Hospital) and Sydney (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and Westmead Hospital). His main interests are in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor, and dystonia. His PhD research at Westmead Hospital is supported by a grant from the Brain Foundation and an NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship and is focussed on tremor and investigating new techniques for diagnosis.
