Biography
Anthony Glover is a Surgeon, Cancer Researcher, NHMRC Early Career Fellow and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Scholar. Anthony's research focuses on understanding the molecular biology of endocrine cancers (thyroid and adrenal) to develop new treatments to improve outcomes. He holds research positions with the Cancer Genetics Laboratory of the Kolling Institute (University of Sydney) and with the James Fagin Lab of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York). Anthony completed General Surgical training at St Vincent's Hospital (Sydney) and clinical fellowships with the Royal Marsden Hospital (London) in Surgical Oncology and with the University of Sydney Endocrine Surgical Unit. Anthony is a Clinical Lecturer with the Northern Clinical School and a NHMRC Grant Review Panel Member.
Research Interest
The molecular biology of Poorly Differentiated Thyroid Cancer. Noncoding RNAs (Long noncoding and MicroRNAs) as tumour suppressors and novel therapy for Adrenocortical Cancer.
