Biography
Dr Andy Shieh is currently a NHMRC & CINSW Early Career Research Fellow at the Radiation Physics Laboratory in Sydney Medical School. He has a background in physics, mathematics, and computaitonal science. His main interest and expertise are in mathematic and computational modelling for medical imaging. Dr Shieh's current research focuses on the development and clinical implementation of a novel real-time tumour tracking technology that will help lung cancer patients receive improved radiotherapy with fewer side effects. He is also interested in the applications machine learning in radiotherapy and health science.
