Biography
Prof Kuncic obtained a BSc with first class honours in physics from the University of Sydney and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK. She has held a full-time teaching and research academic position at the University of Sydney since 2005.
Research Interest
Prof Kuncic leads a highly interdisciplinary research program at the interface between the physical and medical/life sciences. Physics-based strategies (experimental as well as mathematical and computational modelling approaches) and fundamental physical principles are applied to advance our understanding of complex living systems and human diseases. Current areas of research interest include: Medical and biological physics Advanced biomedical imaging Complex physical systems and systems biology Bio-Nanoscience and nanotechnology in medicine
