Biography
Dr Farshad Foroudi Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre Farshad, what does your work entail? I am currently President of TROG Cancer Research, former Chair of the TROG Scientific Committee and a former consultant radiation oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne. I have a full-time clinical practice specialising in radiation treatment of predominantly prostate and bladder cancers and have been the Chair of the multi-disciplinary Uro-Oncology Service at Peter Mac since 2006. Tell us about your background? I completed my medical degree at the University of Sydney, and my radiation oncology training at Westmead and Nepean Hospitals. Following this, I spent two years as a research fellow in Kingston, Ontario mainly involved with epidemiological and health services research. What are your research interests? I have interests in clinical trials methodology, technical radiation oncology research, health services research, and patient care. I've recently completed leading an Australian and New Zealand multi-centre feasibility study of online adaptive radiotherapy for bladder cancer (TROG trial 10.01 BOLART).
