Biography
David, what is your current role with TROG? I hold the publications portfolio on the TROG Scientific Committee and am also the chair of the TROG Publications Committee. Our function is to ensure that any TROG publications give TROG and the research team due recognition as well as being scientifically sound. What does the Publications Committee do? We usually offer some general tips to assist authors in making a better submission to the journal of their choice where possible. Most publications are already to a very high standard and it is very satisfying to see them come through as they represent the most objective sign of TROG's activity as well as improving the outlook for patients. What do you enjoy about being part of TROG? I have been involved in TROG for about 20 years in various ways and have always found it to be one of the more interesting parts of the job as a radiation oncologist.
