Biography
Following an undergraduate Science degree with a major in Microbiology (University of Queensland and Diamantina Institute), Alice carried out a PhD in the field of respiratory immunology at the Mater Medical Research Institute. The focus of her project was on understanding the immunopathology of adult non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. Her interest in understanding the communication between microbes and the immune system continues through postdoctoral studies; which her current project focuses on the immune responses of Haemophilus influenzae infection in children with chronic airway diseases.
