Christopher Eve

Biography

Chris Eve began his career in the exhibition industry in 1992 when he opened the Tokyo office of the Hong Kong Trade Fair Group and launched their first exhibition in Japan. In 1994, HKTFG was acquired by Miller Freeman (now UBM Asia), since then Chris has built up the exhibitions and publishing business in Japan through series of new launches and acquisitions. In addition to Japan, Chris is responsible for UBM's operations in Korea, Taiwan and South East Asia. Prior to joining the exhibitions industry, Chris trained and served as a navigating officer with the Cunard Steamship Company and also worked as a stock trader with a Japanese securities company in the City of London. Chris is fluent in Japanese, having graduated with a dual degree in Japanese and Business Studies from Sheffield University, England.
