Biography
Alastair has a BSc. (Hons.) in chemistry and gained a Ph.D. in electrochemistry from the University of Melbourne in 1987. Alastair worked as a research scientist, then senior and principle research scientist in the Defense Science and Technology Organization and the CSIRO in the fields of electrochemistry and transport processes, particularly involving membranes, until 1995, when he joined Memtec Limited to work on sensor technologies.Â
Research Interest
Alastair has been working in the field of electrochemical sensors for the last 18 years and has served as our Chief Scientist since April 2002.
