Biography
Adyya Gupta graduated in dental surgery from India and completed her MSc in Dental Public Health from Kings College London, UK. Her Master's dissertation topic was ‘Exploring the understanding of the concept of patient-centred care among dental professionals (involved in academic and clinical practise) based at Kings College London- Using a qualitative approach’. She has previously worked as a Research Associate with the Department of Health Promotion and Tobacco Control; and South Asia Network for Chronic Disease at Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi and was involved in various projects during her tenure. She also worked for a short duration at the Southgate Institute for Health, Society and Equity at Flinders University in South Australia. She has worked as a Public Health Tutor and Research Staff at School of Public Health as well as at Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health (ARCPOH) in University of Adelaide respectively. She recently started her PhD in the School of Public Health under the supervision of Prof. Annette Braunack-Mayer, Dr. Jane Harford (ARCPOH, School of Dentistry) and A/Prof. Lisa Smithers . Her project aims to explore determinants of high sugar intake among adults using a mixed methodological approach.
