Biography
Studies within the Breast Cancer Genetics Laboratory focus on the genetic pathways involved in cancer development and progression. Intriguing data suggest that higher vitamin D levels may protect against breast cancer and our research has revealed key molecular pathways that may underpin anti-cancer potential of vitamin D. Our goal is to use this knowledge to develop new vitamin D-related strategies to reduce a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer, and to prevent the spread of cancer to bone.
